Frequently Asked Questions

  • If you have never experienced physiotherapy before, your first appointment be a source of some anticipation and stress.

Typically, we will begin with a discussion so you can provide us with as much detail regarding your problem as possible.

From here, we will conduct an assessment so we can get to the root cause of your issue.

Treatment and rehabilitation will begin in session, and finish with a home exercise program for you to work on some of the areas we identified in the assessment. This exercise programme will be forwarded to you, so you are crystal clear as to what you need to be doing.

Finally, we want you leaving the session clear on what the problem is and how we are going to get you back doing the things you want to be doing.

  • It is advised that you wear appropriate clothing for appointment.

If your problem is in the lower limb, then shorts would be ideal, and if in the upper limb then a vest or loose fitting top.

Try to avoid wearing jeans or other restrictive clothing.

If you cancel an appointment with less than 24 hours notice, you will be charged a cancellation fee, which will be 50% of the total appointment cost.

If you fail to attend your appointment, you will be charged the full cost of the appointment.

  • Many factors will influence this decision. These include (but are not limited to):

    • The severity of your symptoms

    • How long you have had the issue

    • What your goals are for recovery

    • Whether you are recovering from surgery

We will aim to provide this information to you in your session, but this may adjust as we progress through your rehabilitation journey.
